The word “Mica” in English was originated from “micare” (twinkle) in Latin.
When we first walked in this 50 year old building within Shin-da campus area on Pucheng St., We were immediately drawn by its own unique ambience. There’s more to its higher ceiling and 3 ways full-height glass facade windows, it contains textures co-existing from different period of time. We could feel its beauty even when the space was barely empty.
We were excited instead when we found out it is going under urban renewal plan in the next few years. We started imagining possibilities in its last few years. What value can it bring?
That’s one of the main reasons that excited us to realize MICA.
