“self taught i began painting and carving in indonesia in the late 70's. returning to new zealand i took up residence in anawhata,piha area of the waitakere ranges. the last 25 years committed to the development of my work arriving at the images within this book . the content of this images have perhaps influences from my travels and in painting the sea, land and skyscapes of the west coast. the line work has evolved over time experimenting with different shapes, allowing them to evolve with minimal conscious control.”
